How to Reset GP in the Cloud

Occasionally GP in the Cloud may freeze or stop responding. The quickest way to resolve this is to close and reopen the application.

This can be done using a simple keyboard shortcut.

Quick Reset (Recommended)

If you are using a Windows keyboard

  1. Make sure GP in the Cloud is the active window.

  2. Press:

Alt + F4

This will close the application.

Reopen GP in the Cloud from your desktop shortcut.

If you are using a Mac keyboard with Windows

  1. Make sure GP in the Cloud is the active window.

  2. Press:

Option + fn + F4

This performs the same function as Alt + F4 on a Windows keyboard and will close GP in the Cloud.

Reopen GP in the Cloud.

When Should You Reset?

You may need to reset GP in the Cloud if:

  • The screen freezes

  • The application stops responding

  • You cannot switch EMIS/ or S1 organisation

  • Buttons or actions stop working

  • The system becomes very slow

Closing and reopening the application usually resolves the issue.

Tip

Sometimes GP in the Cloud may not fully close on the first attempt. If this happens, simply press the shortcut again and repeat the process until the application fully resets.
